Meet Your Guide
Hi there! I am a Kripalu trained Mindful Outdoor Guide and a RYT200 hour Yoga teacher in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. RYT200 is the foundational yoga training accredited by Yoga Alliance.
I’m also certified in Wilderness First Aid and Basic CPR for Adults.
Mindful Outdoor Guide
I believe deeply that Nature is our best healer.
Accessing nature renders us healthier and happier, a result backed by science. In many countries, people are given a prescription for forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku, to help a myriad of ills. This includes high blood pressure, anxiety, depression, high cortisol levels, attention deficit disorder, weight management and PTSD. Immersing yourself in nature can improve both your mental and physical health. Seeking Awe in nature helps us to realize that we are one small part of a vast and beautiful world. It expands our awareness of all that is in the universe and shifts our focus from the individual to the communal. Awe in nature is a natural antidepressant and helps to reduce rumination and anxiety. It’s impossible not to feel better after a Wonder Walk!
Slow Mindful Yoga Teacher
Leading Slow Mindful Yoga practices with others is blessing for me. Slow mindful yoga is a growing trend because of its many health benefits. This practice helps support nervous system resilience, improve body awareness and flexibility and reduce depression, anxiety and chronic pain. Slow mindful yoga can even foster self-acceptance. And science shows that decreasing stress is key to weight management. So let’s go!
When I'm not practicing yoga or rambling in the woods, I enjoy activities such as caring for plants, traveling with my husband, and spending time with our rescue pup.
I also serve on the board of Tamarack Hollow Nature and Cultural Center in Windsor, MA and volunteer for Berkshire Natural Resources Council and Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health.
Get out to go in.
